Tyre fitting and balancing

ZERO-SCRATCH TYRE FITTING

There is nothing worse than paying for a pristine wheel repair, only to have a careless tyre fitter scratch the rim with a pry bar the next day. That is why AWR operates a full-service tyre shop in-house.

We treat every wheel — whether it is a daily runabout or a freshly diamond-cut Porsche rim — with absolute precision.

Our Grey Lynn workshop uses touchless tyre mounting machines and dynamic balancers to help keep alloy and mag wheels flawless and your ride smooth.

Tyre care, done right

TYRES SUPPLIED, FITTED
AND BALANCED PROPERLY.

AWR is a Pirelli Authorised Dealer for tyre supply, fitting and balancing in Grey Lynn. We confirm the required tyre size, load and speed rating for your vehicle before quoting.

Availability is confirmed against your vehicle and required tyre size. Pirelli is one option available through AWR, alongside tyre fitting and balancing for tyres you already have.

One visit, properly finished

TYRES FITTED WITH YOUR WHEELS IN MIND

Fitting and balancing should protect the wheel as well as the tyre. We check the wheel, use the right equipment and complete the final checks before handing the car back.

The AWR process

HOW WE FIT & BALANCE YOUR TYRES

INSPECT THE WHEEL
We inspect the wheel for damage, corrosion or rim issues before fitting, catching problems before they become tyre issues.
MOUNT THE TYRE
We use advanced mounting equipment that keeps metal tools away from the face and lip of your alloy wheel.
BALANCE & CHECK TPMS
We balance the wheel precisely and carefully protect and re-pair tyre pressure monitoring sensors where required.
FINAL CHECK
Tyre pressures are set to manufacturer specification and the wheel is visually inspected before it is returned to you.

DO I HAVE TO BUY TYRES FROM YOU?

No. If you are having your wheels repaired, we will carefully remove your existing tyres and refit them once the repair is complete. However, if your tyres are worn, doing it all at once saves you a second trip to a tyre shop.

HOW MUCH DOES TYRE FITTING AND BALANCING COST?

Fitting and dynamic balancing is included in the price when you purchase new tyres from us. If you are bringing your own tyres to be fitted to freshly repaired wheels, we charge a standard, competitive fitting fee. Contact us for an exact price.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY WHEELS NEED BALANCING?

The most common signs are vibration through the steering wheel at highway speeds, uneven tyre wear, or a shudder that gets worse the faster you drive. If your car has recently had new tyres fitted elsewhere and you are still feeling vibration, it is worth having the balance checked. We can do this at the same time as any wheel repair or tyre fitting.

CAN AWR SUPPLY PIRELLI TYRES?

Yes. As a Pirelli Authorised Dealer, we can supply Pirelli tyres and complete fitting and balancing at our Grey Lynn workshop. We confirm availability against your vehicle and required tyre size before quoting.

DO I HAVE TO BUY PIRELLI TYRES FROM AWR?

No. Pirelli is one tyre option available through AWR. You can also book tyre fitting and balancing for tyres you already have, subject to the normal fitting assessment.
