Built on a simple belief
AWR was founded on a simple belief: every wheel deserves to be repaired properly. Not patched, not painted over, not rushed — properly.
We invested in the right equipment: a CNC diamond lathe, a TIG welder, a curing oven, and a factory-correct colour system. We trained our technicians to the same standard used in factory production. And we built a workshop that any driver — in any car — could walk into and feel confident they were in the right place.
Our approach
No shortcuts. No subcontracting.
We don't cut corners. We don't subcontract. We don't paint over damage and hope you don't notice. Every repair is done in-house, by our own technicians, using the correct process for the job.
From Corollas to Carreras — the standard is the same. The quality of the work does not depend on the badge on the car.
In-house only
Every repair is carried out by our own technicians in our Grey Lynn workshop. We never subcontract work to third parties.
Correct process for the job
Kerb rash gets TIG welded and machined. Bent wheels get hydraulically pressed. Diamond-cut wheels get re-cut on a CNC lathe. The right process, every time.
OEM colour matching
We use OEM paint codes and a factory-correct colour system. Your wheels match the original factory specification — not a close approximation.
Honest assessment
If a wheel is too severely damaged to repair safely, we will tell you honestly. We would rather lose a job than put an unsafe wheel back on a car.
