Our process

Step 1: Assessment

Our team thoroughly assesses the extent of the scuffing and any additional damage.

Step 2: Cleaning and Preparation

The affected wheels are cleaned to remove dirt, brake dust, and debris and wheel weights, ensuring a clean surface for the repair process.

Step 3: Sanding and Smoothing

Scuffed areas are carefully sanded to remove damaged material and create a smooth surface. Deeper gouges are TIG welded to replace the missing material with alloy so the wheels integrity is not compromised.

Step 4: Filling (if necessary)

Metallic based Fillers are used to level the surface for superficial scuffs, followed by further sanding for smoothness.

Step 5: Priming (if necessary)

A primer (either powder coat or wet spray depending on specific circumstances) enhances adhesion and prepares the surface for painting and clear coating.

Step 6: Painting or Clear Coating

The wheel face is painted to match the original colour, followed by a clear coat (either wet spray or powder coat wherever possible) for a protective finish. The wheel is then baked in our ovens to ensure proper curing and hardening.

Step 7: Curing

The repaired areas are allowed to dry or cure, ensuring the durability of the finish.

Step 8: Buffing and Polishing

Once cured, the entire wheel is buffed and polished to achieve a smooth and consistent finish.

Step 9: Final Inspection

The repaired wheels undergo a final inspection to ensure scuffs are effectively addressed and the appearance meets our high standards.

Step 10: Reinstallation

After passing inspection, the wheels have their respective tyres refitted (or replaced if damaged/worn out) before being balanced and finally reinstalled on your vehicle.
