TRANSFORM YOUR CAR'S LOOK
Changing the colour of your wheels is the single most effective way to transform the entire stance and attitude of your car. Whether you want to upgrade standard silver alloys to an aggressive satin black, restore a classic Porsche "Shadow Chrome," or apply a custom bronze tint, we deliver flawless, factory-level results.
We don't do quick "scuff and spray" jobs. Every colour change at AWR involves a full chemical strip, meticulous preparation, and a baked-on finish using either OEM wet-paint systems or ultra-durable powder coating.

OUR REFINISH PROCESS
- Strip & Clean: We chemically strip old coatings and brake dust to reach bare alloy.
- Repair & Shape: Any existing kerb rash or gouges are repaired so the new colour goes onto a perfect canvas.
- Sandblast & Key: The wheel is lightly blasted to create an even profile for maximum paint adhesion.
- Prime & Colour: We apply an anti-corrosive primer followed by your chosen OEM code or custom tint, ensuring uniform depth and coverage.
- Clear & Bake-Cure: A UV-stable clear coat is applied and oven-cured for maximum hardness and gloss retention.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHANGE WHEEL COLOUR?
Replacing a set of wheels to get a new look costs thousands. A full set colour change is a highly cost-effective alternative. Pricing depends on the size of the wheel and whether you choose standard powder coating or a complex multi-stage finish. Send us a photo for a fixed-price quote.
POWDER COAT VS PAINT: WHICH IS BETTER?
Powder coating is our go-to for ultimate resilience and chip resistance, making it perfect for solid colours like gloss black or bronze. Wet-spray paint is used when we need to match specific OEM metallic flakes or complex multi-stage effects like Shadow Chrome.
HOW LONG DOES A FULL SET COLOUR CHANGE TAKE?
Most full-set colour changes are completed in 24–48 hours. Complex multi-stage finishes or diamond-cut faces may take slightly longer. We offer loan wheels so you're not off the road while we work.
